Post Production Development Initiative 2026-2027 Application

Program Details
PPDI is currently looking for 22 people who would like to participate in this application-based free program. We are looking for Media Production, Television and Film Arts, and Digital Music Production students at Buffalo State University who are at least in their second year and have a special interest in the post-production and/or audio mixing field, and community members (including students from outside of Buffalo State) with a background in sound mixing or video editing who would like to increase their professional opportunities. Buffalo State students who are accepted to the program can receive 6 advanced level course credits to count towards their degree. Altogether, participants receive over 150 hours of instruction and mentorship. Childcare reimbursement provided. Participants must be at least 18 years old.

The PPDI program provides professional post-production resources and knowledge, free of charge. However, participation in the program does not guarantee a job in the industry. How do you plan on accomplishing your goals in the post-production field if you do not get accepted to the PPDI program?

PPDI is scheduled to start in September 2026 and has an anticipated ending date of June 2027. Planned activities include meeting twice a month on Saturday evenings/afternoons, with field trips around Buffalo and a 3-day trip to New York City in the Summer 2027. Do you anticipate being able to attend all of these activities as part of the program? Note that if you select 'No', you are unable to be considered to participate in the program.
